Google rushes to Russia World Cup results... congratulate and offended Russians

Google is known for his passion to various doodles to celebrate tons of global and local events - quite often the company changes its logo on the pages of all local domains or only specific ones depending on the event of the day. As some of you know Russia decided yesterday over a significant reason to celebrate as FIFA, to keep the World Cup in 2018 in Russia - for the first time in Eastern Europe.

Russian football fans and pretty much everyone else are of course very pleased with the opportunity and celebrate. The celebration to support, Google offered a new Doodle for the Russian domain with the Russian flag and soccer balls.

This special attention to our seemingly local celebration of the international Internet giant is certainly nice if not for a fact: someone in the Office Google made a mistake in the colours of the flag so it was white-blue red white red blue instead of the right.

Russian users online discussing which were news, despite the late hour of the night (it was after 1: 00 in Moscow) quickly noticed the error, and someone must have it reported to Google. This led to the Doodle total closer until 2 am and then restore it with the correct flag show.

Google's Russian Office was contacted for clarification and offered: you say someone made a mistake and used the wrong colors. Obviously, they offered an apology for the country and Internet users that are now apparently offended with the error.

Not to complicate things further, here I only uploaded the correct version of the Doodle with the Russian flag (I know, it is to remember the simplest), but for those of you who demonstrate some evidence that the whole situation existed, here is the link to Russian it happened, no matter how crazy it may sound.

SmsCoin user-friendly way to add, an extra revenue source for your website

Today I'm introducing SmsCoin, a new monetization tool for all types of online publishers and our sponsor for the month. SmsCoin is a company that add a wide range of SMS-based tools to the an extra monetization data source (or at least an additional payment tool) offers to any online business which allows payments from more than 87 countries.

Premium SMS services that the company offered currently support for companies from more than 40 thousand Web sites, including some of the largest social networking gaming and dating websites in Russia (so if you hear Russian DST is buy, participate in something like Twitter in your beautiful investment in Facebook remember, this is how you make a good portion of their money online here). The list of customers is really global as SmsCoin numerous online and real-life companies in Europe and the USA as well as building on your success in Russia, serves where originally started.

The process is actually dead simple for those of you who don't know how such mobile payments work. A site owner is a payment gateway by using a script, sell or grant access to a particular content or service on the website provided. Visitors are with a link to view the prices and encouraged to send an SMS to a short number following specific instructions. If you choose to pay, send the text message and your account with mobile carrier pays a certain amount. A small part of the amount SmsCoin processing fee will be withheld as a carrier gets its share during the Publisher Gets the rest of the crowd.

The advantages are obvious: payments are instant and don't have anything other than a cell phone from a consumer - to everyone without even a PayPal account or credit card to pay. But it is of course obvious disadvantage: the simplicity of the service makes it a welcoming destination for all kinds of fraud that to make it as a quick option some bucks and run away show could never get back be found.

But as with any other payment provider, shopper on the payment provider for security leave numbers - you should instead should attention to who you money and why - pay and the only way to security here is common sense. Another disadvantage of SMS payments usually the high commissions are calculated by mobile network operators (vary from 30% and by country) so you should carefully study the list of countries and of the amounts get your visitors how much prices in payouts to know world pay.

The tool is definitely universal enough for almost all publishers to add it as an additional payment tool. If you want certain parts of your website contents to your block paying guests or look for donations for what increase in mind, the company has a ready-made solution for you. And these are actually the easiest tools you have: you can download user content in exchange for an SMS message, adding funds to accounts in online shops or games or even numbers for premium show to get a good ranking on your site.

For each Publisher, it is important that each new service that you add to your Web pages is reliable and easy to integrate. And when it comes to money, it is even more important. This is why SmsCoin offers more than 150 ready-made scripts for the vast majority of the popular content management systems, including even WordPress (so if you decide to sell your eBook directly to your blog without any additional intermediaries, you will be able who know without a huge deal of coding to implement).

Here in Russia mobile payments market is huge and SMS messages actually serve as the main payment gateway for many sites. It is definitely useful in a country where not everyone has a credit card (or you know how it other than use, withdraw money from ATM or not trusted banks enough, withdraw everything as soon as the funds) and competitors are local PayPal ponderous creatures, who take age will add resources and a huge fee, if you ever tried withdraw it. So it's no wonder that here can buy practically anything online with a text message.

It is of course in the United States and in Europe the situation with micropayments in more friendly common way, users and publishers. But still given that there is no registration or setup fees, why not give it a try - who know your audience could appreciate the extra payment option. And because SmsCoin currently worldwide works with mobile operators in 87 countries, for some users it might just be the most attractive option, and you appreciate your efforts.

In addition, there are some areas where such services have to offer something unique. In fact, where I see a huge potential for popular blogs with SmsCoin SMS is in: chat solution. A blogger just is a sidebar widget received the texts (and display links!) about SMS messages from the visitors for a fee - and adds an additional source of income for the blog linked not all efforts of a sales team is. Can you imagine how many want to be featured startups on all sides of the TechCrunch for a few minutes and a small fee?

Full disclosure: SmsCoin is, as already mentioned, currently Profy sponsor.

Russian village got almost named after a torrent site in a publicity stunt.

I know that sounds ridiculous and even incredibly but the story has received attention in the Russian news sources and blogs - actually the story as it is really true. I've tested, the news is not no matter now discuss how fitting it for the day could be dated April 1st, but is the entire Russian blogosphere Russia supposedly has now a village named after a site - a site that often criticized in the box and discussed in courts of torrent tracking and p2p sharing works. The only problem is, the story was actually has to be a fake, designed probably specifically for PR purposes, but the idea definitely value that mention is.

TorrentReactor.net, has a claimed the top 10 torrent indexers in the world that is hosted in Russia to about 150 thousand $ have paid, the right to a Russian village named gar is located in the region of Tomsk in Siberia rename to get. The idea was discussed with the population of the village (a total of 214 persons), and people are told to the idea of replacing your short and slightly strong name with a longer after the purchase site support. I believe that with each their small part of the donation such support immensely, especially given the poverty of the people in such small villages reach idea could have helped.

The irony of that selected village is that it is near the nuclear reactor Seversk is interesting similarities in the name of the site and brings. In fact, the award-winning village is noticed instructed randomly after you have carefully selected a number of small villages close to various nuclear reactors around the world - and the number 377 happened be happy for the gar village. And because gar from the Russian can be translated as "burned", I think people should not completely unhappy to get rid of your pretty unpleasant name and something fresh and very contemporary. The only downside here is that until recently that had village only 3 PCs with only one of you with dial-up Internet access, so had no chance to know such website existed - let alone use it.

The agreement was said be permanent so that the village allegedly to its unusual name to keep. And while it is quite obvious that the objectives here are especially PR-related site owners claim that actually support a slowly dying village (which are numerous in Russia) and pioneer one completely new movement with various Internet companies, the support of the other real life settlements with their inhabitants such donations wanted to bring significant PR

The carefully crafted story was quickly tremendous attention among Russian Internet users and visitors actually TorrentReactor.net and many people believed the story true, (in fact, it has even by one of the most prestigious Internet news resources without any subsequent update as of this writing been reported and because this was where I first saw me the story, it was hard not to believe it was true) to be. But some of the local reporter decided to go as far as contact confirm the village authorities the story - in Tomsk and quickly found out that the story with reality had nothing to do. But in fact a representative of such authorities mentioned that while you have received no offers from someone, like it would have considered you if came as the State of the roads in the village is so poor, could really need such an investment.

But even if this story never turned to be real comments demonstrated that the number of people who were ready to buy a House and move around the village was very significant, would like Internet users hoped that torrents somehow be legally miraculously in the village. Now I would definitely recommend renaming a small (or perhaps not so small) town somewhere it should in Europe in the Pirate Bay - definitely exist, and it could quickly turn into a crowded destination with the right promotion and a monument to a torrent (no idea how it should look like, but I think, an online competition could result in a good number of interesting projects) directly on the main square of the city as a place of pilgrimage for all active torrent users of the world. And a small note for Google from the Russian user: should definitely invest in buying Russian post and rename it to Gmail – was this a huge PR campaign and we would finally received a prospect actually receive our e-Mail messages.
